Juliet Lang is in her second year working with the band program at W. H. Oliver Middle School, where she primarily teaches brass classes from 5th through 8th grade level. She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education under her primary instrument, saxophone (2020). During her time at MTSU, she performed with the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Salsa Band, Jazz Band, Sax Ensemble, Sax Quartet, and Women’s Chorale. She also performed with MTSU’s marching band, the Band of Blue, for five years and was part of the drum major team for the last two. In her spare time, Juliet picked up trumpet and mellophone as secondary instruments. In the summers of 2017 and 2018, Juliet marched in the hornline with the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps. During that time, the group transitioned from open class to world class and received its highest score and placement to date. Aside from Ravenwood, she teaches private and small group instruction for saxophone, trumpet, and conducting. Juliet is a member of NAfME and MTSBOA.
