U.S. Flag Service

Ravenwood High School band members will install a 3×5 foot American Flag on an 8 ft. pole in your yard, morning to evening on the observed holiday. When you subscribe, your service will begin on the next flag holiday and continue until you receive five flag installations. All money raised goes to the Ravenwood High School Band Boosters to support music education.

The Tower Is Up!

After planning and fundraising for many years, the Ravenwood High School Marching Band now has a much-needed, permanent observation tower, affectionately known as the Raptor Nest, for its practice field. The new Raptor Nest Tower replaces the scissor lift the Ravenwood Band has been renting since the school opened in 2002.

The Band Booster organization contracted with band tower manufacturer Educational Steel Products for a custom tower to be installed on the Ravenwood High School campus. Thanks to the guidance of general contractor Robins & Morton and their subcontractors Charter Construction, Smyrna Ready Mix, and Sentry Steel who have all generously donated their expertise, labor, equipment, and materials to prepare for the band tower’s arrival, the band has a safer and more impactful way for band directors and staff members to provide direction to students. Groundbreaking for the 28-foot tower began on August 30 with the help of Ravenwood principal Dr. Pam Vaden, band directors Chris Janowiak and Rob Fay, several of the band’s booster board members, and our contractor partners. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as the space for the new tower began to take shape!
